I specialize in supporting trauma healing. Many of my clients are in relationships - they have young children, or are thinking of having children and they want to heal from ways they have been hurt in order to be more present and loving with the people in their lives. I'm trained in EMDR, SSP, and Mindfulness. Through talk therapy we gain insight into the way our past informs our present. Through these other modalities we are able to begin to shift the beliefs we have about ourselves, and the way our nervous system responds to stress.

EMDR helps to decrease the distress of these experiences, while SSP helps to cultivate a regulated nervous system that promotes calm and connection. Mindfulness allows us to pay attention to our feelings and body reactions, creating space for awareness before action.
I'm a strengths based therapist who believes you always make the choices for your life. I also believe that in addition to learning how to regulate and manage stress, we need to actively seek moments of joy.
