I work primarily with the LGBTQIA+ community. This work sometimes includes specific phases of life that are unique to the queer community, such as coming out or transitioning. Other times, the work includes issues that can affect anyone, regardless of one's sexual orientation or gender identity. These issues could include relational conflict, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, grief, career exploration, personal growth, divorce, parenting, etc.
In addition to working with the LGBTQIA+ community, my master's is in Marriage and Family Therapy. For me, this means that whether I am working with an individual, a couple, or a family, I am thinking about the systems in my client's life (i.e. the family unit, work environment, community, etc.).
This systemic lens allows me to help you through your journey in a way that is not isolated to you, but sees you both as an individual and as part of a system or community.
