PM Adult DBT Skills Group
Dialectal behavior therapy (DBT) is an enhanced form of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), designed by Dr. Marsha Linehan, to help with emotional instability, otherwise known as "dysregulation", which can lead to impulsive, self-destructive, or self-harming behaviors. The overall goal of DBT is to teach clients skills that will help them to understand their emotions and how to manage those emotions to change their targeted behaviors in order to live a happier life.

Adolescent DBT Skills Training
This is a fully adherent dialectical behavior therapy skills training group for adolescents and their parents. Att least one caregiver is required to attend and participate with the identified adolescent (14-18) weekly for skills training. Adolescents in skills training groups are required to attend weekly individual therapy with a trained DBT individual clinician, complete diary cards, and homework assignments. DBT skills training is considered out of network for all insurance panels.
