I am a licensed therapist in NC and SC with 14 years experience in various settings. My goal is to provide a safe environment for growth and development. I work predominantly with children ranging in age 1-18 years old. I also have a passion for working with the Neurodivergent population. I find that there are many hidden strengths to be identified and nourished. I enjoy working with client/family as a team. I obtained additional training through Z-Five (ages 0-5) collaborative. Z-Five is geared to raise awareness, advocate for resources, and enhance the quality of services provided to young children and their families.
Therapy is a team effort; I utilize Child-Centered and Internal Family Systems approach, and find the most success when a guardian/parent plays an active role in their child's therapy. Each client/family will have their own unique needs and I feel an eclectic approach to therapy will best meet those individual needs.
Making the decision to go to counseling is difficult for many. Whether struggling in their personal life, family life, with behavior problems etc., the goal is to assist in gaining the skills needed to cope with all life circumstances. Parents of Neurodivergent Children
My hope is to provide parents with an understanding of what it means to be neurodivergent. During this group we will discuss related diagnoses, strengths, sensory issues, strengths, realistic expectations, strengths, consequences, etc. Having a neurodivergent child can be very challenging! I am offering a weekly educational group for parents of neurodivergent child. Prior to attending this educational group, you and your child will need to attend an intake appointment. During the intake appointment I will ask questions about your child and family unit. This allows me to have a better understanding of how this educational group can assist you.
