My therapy practice is dedicated to helping TEENS, COLLEGE AGE STUDENTS and YOUNG ADULTS through challenging times in their lives. This stage in life is such an important time in one’s development and it is easy to become overwhelmed, anxious, and depressed with all that life is throwing at you. I have worked with teens and young adults for over twenty years, and now as a trauma therapist I find there is a greater need than ever to give teens and young adults the coping skills needed to deal with the challenges and stressors they are facing on a daily basis. Some of my brightest young clients feel they are 'not good enough.'
Relationship issues, college and career pressure, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, loss and grief, or low self-esteem are very common issues I am seeing in our teen and young adult populations. Often old traumas are beginning to surface at this age, and one is wondering why they are finding themselves depressed and sometimes even suicidal.
My role is to give you strategies to help you feel better, including healing destructive self- concepts. I am a certified EMDR therapist which is one type of therapy used to heal negative beliefs and trauma/PTSD. Please call me and we can discuss your individual situation.
