Healthy thought patterns and behaviors require a balance of reason and emotion. Stress, major life changes, trauma, and other issues can lead to the primitive, irrational parts of the brain taking charge. At Whole-Brain Counseling, LLC, I strive to help my clients feel safe to connect to their emotions and to find harmony through their rational cognitions. I feel honored to work with children and young adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, and/or symptoms of trauma. I especially enjoy counseling families through parenting challenges, as well as helping clients to understand and heal their inner child.
Depending on the needs of the client, I offer the following therapies: Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Sand Tray, Family/Filial Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Drama Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, and Theraplay-based interventions.
