We can lose touch with ourselves for a variety of reasons. Sometimes the symptoms of our issues disconnect us from ourselves, our environment, and our loved ones. I help clients reconnect with who they are, what they need, and what is most important to them. In sessions, I help clients work through trauma, addiction, chronic pain, chronic health, personal development, relationships, limiting beliefs, black-and-white thinking, judgments, and self-compassion. As a somatic therapist and yoga instructor, I help clients cultivate mindfulness and meditation skills, which can be a critical part of the therapeutic process.
I often use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in my work. I am an EMDR Certified therapist. My other therapeutic modalities include Psychodynamic psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, & the Trauma Conscious Yoga Method (TCYM), which includes elements of Somatic Experiencing (SE) & Internal Family Systems (IFS).
Long-term growth comes from integrating fragmented parts of the self. These parts manifest through core beliefs, emotions, behavioral patterns, and biology. Taking a non-judgmental approach to therapy with creativity, curiosity, and compassion is a powerful way to bring the unconscious to light and to reach a place of inner peace.
