As a trauma-informed therapist, I know that symptoms such as anxiety, depression, addiction and phobias are often expressions of unresolved grief and trauma. I support my clients to look at themselves and their relationships with honesty and love in order to create more freedom and connection in their lives. I believe that by bringing compassion, awareness, and just enough humor, we can engage our inner wisdom to shift patterns that have become stuck in our bodies and consciousness. I have specific training in serving LGBTQ+ communities, and am a trans-affirming therapist.
Unlike other models of therapy, which set goals to 'improve' or get somewhere else, as a Master therapist in the Neuro Affective Relational Model, I view our work as unwinding the pain and protections we built, and coming home to ourselves. My experience in hospice and grief counseling informs my perspective on all types of loss and unmet needs.
