Primarily interacting with adolescents and adults, my main focus while working with clients have encompassed challenges regarding, but not limited to, feelings of anxiety, depression, grief, and self-esteem. As clients and I explore and analyze the underlying causes of their life stressors, we work on various coping skills and strategies to move through these obstacles, allowing clients to discover and maintain health habits and lifestyle choices.
I have been a secondary (6-12th grade) teacher since 2013, specializing in teaching Family & Consumer Science (Home Economics), while also focusing on the local English Language Learner and Special Education population. I have recently transitioned into a position as a middle school counselor, aiding students academically, socially, and emotionally.
