I've been working with adolescents, kids, adults and families for almost 20 years. I absolutely love what I do and have been able to develop specialized training in the treatment of a number of mental health issues including trauma, depression, behavior issues and anxiety. It is my job to empower the client to develop clear, achievable goals and support their attainment using warmth, honesty, humor and a vast toolbox of interventions that are culturally sensitive and honoring of the client's unique experience.
I come from a scientific-practitioner model which relies heavily on evidence based treatment, so my core approach is CBT due to its proven effectiveness, but I also integrate other approaches to meet the needs of the client. I specialize in working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma related symptoms and interpersonal conflict.
