Although I have specialized in trauma treatment over the past few years, I have had the privilege of helping clients with stress and anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem, relationship problems, and life transitions. My goal is to connect with clients and create a comfortable and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
I believe that humor and warmth are vital to connection in therapy and are often necessary when dealing with such serious topics as trauma, depression and anxiety. Utilizing an evidence-based treatment called Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I work with clients experiencing symptoms that arise as a result of trauma, abuse, and/or neglect.
Reaching out for help can seem scary and intimidating, especially when we are addressing touchy topics... I hope to make this process less challenging and difficult by building a trusting relationship, using a compassionate approach, and keeping things light whenever possible.
