Seeking help from a mental health or addiction counselor can be a daunting task. Often times, individuals find themselves working with therapists who only give advice, teach how to breath, promote coloring in workbooks, and/or give homework assignments as a means to work on your presenting symptoms. With me, you will experience treatment in a different way. My name is Ryan Bowers and I am a professional counselor who practices traditional psychotherapy. This means that we will work on identifying core issues that are causing issues in your daily life, while creating goals that will help you be the best version of yourself.
I have been in practice for over a decade, working with clinical mental health, addictions, marriage, and family issues. My practice specializes in working with high-profile clients (CEO's, Division I Athletes, First Responders, etc.) by offering discreet and confidential services, but all are welcome to explore and find your new you.
I consider myself a Narrative Therapist, working from a post-modern constructivist perspective, while utilizing interventions from many helping theories including, psychodynamic, existential, CBT, and Solution Focused theories. This allows me to meet you where you are and provide the most effective counseling possible.
