When a client comes to me for therapy, they are seeking some way to not just share their problems but to find solutions and remedies based on their own effort. The point having therapy is for the individual to be able to find their own answer based on what works for them and created on their terms. The reason that people would want to achieve this autonomous feeling is because this develops into a security that the individual can feel confident in themselves to rely on themselves when tackling life’s problems and everyday obstacles.
Solution-Focused Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive -Behavioral strategies, Person-Centered strategies and Psychodynamic strategies can all work. However, not all problems are systematic and sometimes, Existential and Reality therapy may help a patient find the alternative ways to figure out a unique solution to their problems.
