Life can have it's challenges and sometimes it is hard to know how to overcome them. Emotions such as stress, anger, anxiety, depression, isolation, guilt, or a mixture of emotions can make it difficult to move forward. I understand how our lives can be affected by how we feel and think. One of the first steps I take to assist clients is increasing their self-esteem, self-awareness, and confidence to be able to process the steps needed to solve their problems. I find it rewarding to work with diverse populations of clients, helping to evaluate your needs and explore what strategies work best for you.
My counseling style is genuine, and I actively listen to all my clients. I ask questions to get points clarified. Rapport building is important, so you feel comfortable being honest and open about your journey. I treat each client as an individual, so each client works at his or her own pace.
I have experience working with a variety of issues: anxiety, depression, work, school and relationship stress, time management, ADHD, trauma, traumatic brain injury. I promote a positive, friendly, warm, safe, and nonjudgmental environment, and an overall experience of helping you find coping strategies that work for you.
