In my work, I like to combine short-term approaches that will help you figure out how to feel better now with long-term approaches designed to take a closer look at some repeating patterns and their origins to bring lasting changes to your life. Most clients I see in my practice experience some sort of dissatisfaction in their relationships. This could significantly impact their life satisfaction. Whether it is a relationship with a romantic partner, parent, friend or boss, there are always ways to make changes in order to bring more happiness into your life however challenging this task might be.
I offer individual, couples and family counseling. I work with teenagers, young adults and adults. Some of the common presenting concerns I enjoy working with are depression, anxiety, family of origin issues, acculturation, stress related to various life events (divorce, career changes, becoming a parent, loss). I have an expertise in parenting issues.
In the therapeutic process I combine a warm and empathetic approach with providing direct and consistent feedback in order to guide my clients to see their blind spots. I think that is the necessary balance to help you discover your strengths and develop a more compassionate attitude towards yourself.
