In my view, the overarching aims of therapy can be boiled down to two main goals: First, that you feel as comfortable and safe in the therapeutic setting as possible; and second, that you thrive as a person, whatever that may mean to you. As my client, I will spend time talking with you about what is important to you in your life, and I will also focus on the therapeutic relationship between us, because this can often be a window through which we can view other significant relationships in your life.
I am experienced in Humanistic, Psychodynamic, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and I draw upon each of these orientations in my work. I work with adults, couples, and families, and I specialize in anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, and co-therapy for couples.
In addition to individual therapy, I work with couples and co-lead groups with my co-therapists. In terms of couples therapy, my co-therapist and I work with couples in various stages of their relationship with a number of different issues, ranging from pre-marriage concerns to post-divorce counseling, and everything in between.
