In my work, I know that not every theoretical approach is suitable for a particular person, but instead depends instead on the needs and the individual psychology of that person. Thus, I work collaboratively with you based on your unique needs and desires in order to find the best way to help you. My approach is direct, empathic, supportive, and non-judgmental. I will respect and honor your beliefs and values, while seeking to challenge negative assumptions of self, identify destructive behavior patterns, while encouraging personal growth and change.
I utilize a number theoretical approaches including mindfulness/meta-awareness, cognitive behavioral therapy, humanistic/existential therapy, and person-centered therapy. My primary areas of practice are treatment for anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, adjustment disorder, trauma and grief and loss.
I also have experience in treating domestic violence, anger management and a number of other emotional difficulties. As your therapist, I will tailor your individualized treatment plan to you and your needs, in order to change your life as you wish. I look forward to working with you.
