A child’s behavior is telling a story of what is going on inside. Many times, when our kids are reaching out for connection, they will behave in ways that create the opposite response. When a child is struggling to find positive ways to relate, our team of therapists come alongside them and their family to help them feel more understood, empowered, connected and loved. I believe in conducting therapy in partnership with families, pediatricians, teachers, and other specialists to ensure that each child receives a personalized treatment plan that is reinforced in all settings.

We specialize in treating anxiety, trauma, attachment difficulties, anger, depression, divorce, behavioral problems and regulation disorders, as well as with adopted children. Michelle is a Certified Clinical Trauma Counselor and a member of the Association of Play Therapy, and International Association of Trauma Professionals. She is also trained in EMDR.

We work with the children who are mislabeled as the “problem child” and help them channel their emotions and behaviors to where they can connect with others. We come alongside parents who have reached the end of their rope and help them connect in positive ways and find new understandings in their relationships with their children.

July 29th- August 3rd, 2024 M-F, 9am-12pm. Come join us for an interactive group with activities & games while we learn about important skills for building healthy relationships. This stage is a key developmental stage to work through important skills such as initiating conversations, empathy, mindfulness, impulse control, boundaries/ personal space and more. This group will cover a different social skill each day and will include games, crafts, interactive videos and more. Each child receives their own art supplies and games will be non-contact. Call us today as space is limited to 6 children per camp!

Now taking clients for our 3-4 year old Summer Camp! The Camp dates are M-F, June 24th-June 29th. This is a key developmental stage for kids to develop certain social skills to create and maintain healthy relationships. In this group, we do interactive activities, table time and have discussions on 6 different social skills needed for this age group: feelings identification, empathy, sharing/taking turns, listening skills, relaxation & mindfulness. Children receive their own art supplies and all games will be non-contact. ***Call us today as space is limited to 6 campers! ***
