I believe that at the core of every person, there is a wise Self that drives us towards health and healing. But that can get interrupted, and we can feel separated from ourselves by trauma, depression, anxiety, injustice etc. I help my clients connect with themselves so they can live in their authentic Self comfortably, and approach life successfully.
My counseling philosophy draws on principles from Feminist Theory, Person-Centered Therapy and Internal Family Systems. I work primarily with trauma, grief, navigating ethical non-monogamy and the unique stressors faced by sex workers.
In my practice, I try to exercise cultural humility, meaning that I try to be aware of and sensitive to each client’s identity and background. This means that everyone, is welcome and wanted in my office. Please do not hesitate to reach out and begin (or continue) your healing journey!
