As a therapist, I work collaboratively with adults who have been struggling with the impact of their lived experience and are wanting to feel connected to themselves and the world again. More generally, my work focuses on addressing challenges related to trauma and it's impact on mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being.
I draw from Relational and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, where we focus on understanding how your past and present relationships, as well as early childhood experiences, influence your current life patterns. I also integrate Somatic Psychotherapy, guiding you to attune to your bodily sensations, enhance self-awareness and offer a deeper sense of comfort.
While western psychotherapy often emphasizes individual or internal processes, I recognize the social, cultural and political dimensions of our lives. In our sessions, I will incorporate all aspects of your identity and experience, showing up with humility, respect and genuine curiosity.
