I consider myself to be a neurodivergent therapist, who is authentic and direct. My style is anchored in cognitive science, attachment theory, mindfulness, social justice, parts work, and somatic psychology. I value science equally with the domain of intuition and art, and I consider myself an especially huge nerd with evolutionary psychology. I'm queer and LGBTQIA+ aligned, and I'm fluent in polyamory and kink relationship dynamics.
I work with individuals and couples, and I help with resetting to a secure attachment style. I also offer guidance with the issue of intellectualizing emotions. This habit prevents people from being able to metabolize emotions/trauma, and is one of the biggest causes of dead ends in therapy.
A key model I use is Non Violent Communication. It's usually used for relationship scripts, but to me, it goes far beyond communication skills. The heart of it can reach the depths of identity and cognition. When it’s fully digested, NVC encourages the kind of reflection, ownership, and boundaries that can help heal maladaptive thinking.
