I like my clients to know that speaking with a therapist can be just like going to their primary care provider for a checkup. :-) Sometimes, it's good just to make sure everything is functioning as it should be. I believe in working WITH clients, which is how it should be with every medical professional you see, because who knows you better than you? This process should be collaborative. And, if we happen to uncover an issue, my ideal clients express willingness to accept the existence of that issue, and possess the desire and ability to take steps to address it.
I specialize in sex and relationship therapy; a passion that finds it roots in the need to educate and eliminate stigma and shame. I also provide therapy and coping skills for depression, anxiety, and stress management. I strive to work with clients holistically by providing counseling within a perspective utilizing evidence-based, yet mindful knowledge.
