People often consult with me to cope with challenges, gain insights, and make meaningful changes in their personal lives and relationships. Forming a collaborative relationship with every client is central to my work. Grounded in person-centered, existential, and mindfulness-based practice, I am especially interested in the feelings and values influencing human behavior and the ongoing process of finding meaning in life. Most of my clients prefer longer-term, depth-oriented work.
I enjoy meeting diverse individuals, couples, and groups who are working on personal and relational challenges in psychotherapy. I also provide clinical supervision to trainees. My professional background includes treatment of children, adolescents and adults in schools, universities, and court-involved and community-based programs.
I assume people are the experts on their own experiences and equipped with innate capacities to solve problems. My role is to help people learn more about themselves - their histories, thoughts, feelings, and values - in order to better cope with challenges and grow in the directions they choose.
