In person appointments available. I work with adults, providing both individual and couples therapy. I use evidence based practices to help clients effectively address anxiety, depression, trauma, difficulties in relationships, as well as supporting clients who aren't living their lives the way they want. I particularly have a passion for helping adults who had abusive/neglectful childhoods. Everyone deserves to be happy and to get the support they need to heal from whatever they've gone through.
Concerning relationship issues, most of my individual clients and couples struggle in a extremely common patter of conflict characterized by one partner feeling unimportant, ignored, and/or hurt while the other partner feeling nagged, criticized, and/or guilty. This can create an unhealthy, repeating pattern causes conflict to cause a lot of pain.
The approach I use when working with relationship issues is call Emotional Focused Therapy, (EFT). This scientific approach based on attachment theory can help people break this destructive pattern. Hope is alive and well. I am happy to offer a free 20 minute phone consultation.
