I have training in emotionally focused therapy which is I use to assist couples and individuals understand how their early childhood attachments might be affecting they way they communicate, not only with their romantic partner, but in all areas of their lives.
Part of my education focused on co-occurring disorders which is basically a fancy way of saying addiction in tandem with some form or psychological difficulty or illness. Additionally, I have close to ten years of my own sobriety with a solid understanding of how addiction can contribute to getting in the way of living your best (or better) life.
