Hello, my name is Matthew Dyer. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor. Prior to becoming a counselor I served in the US Marine Corps. This gives me a unique perspective when serving our first responder and veteran populations. My Specialties include treating post traumatic stress disorder, trauma, depression, anxiety disorders, phobias, obsessions and compulsions, interpersonal problems, emotion dysregulation, self-esteem, individuals struggling with psychosis, self-harm, suicidal ideation, conduct disorders, and personality disorders.
I have experience working with adolescents and adults in many settings ranging from community mental health to secure care settings. I bring humor and a motivating personality into session. I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) among many other therapeutic modalities.
