Sometimes we are submerged in complicated feelings that are confusing and scary. This is actually a window into some of the core truths of our inner lives, of internalized relationships, longings, and past experiences. I accompany people through a deep exploration of this inner life and provide a supportive space to understand the unconscious, move through stuck points, and emerge to more genuinely appreciate your life.
My approach is trauma-informed and attachment-focused. I practice psychoanalytic therapy and AEDP. I value compassion, intuition, and creativity. I have extensive training in dream interpretation and unconscious processes, and can provide more in-depth psychoanalysis for those who desire a more intensive exploration of the self.
I am responsive to context—particularly to the impacts of racism, sexism, transphobia and ableism—and I believe that therapy ought to be a part of breaking these internalized cycles of oppression.
