Often clients need to be seen and heard so that they can process emotions and stress from past trauma or current stressors in which they feel stuck and unable to move forward. You may need support to better understand your life experiences that led you to the present. You need to feel the safe compassionate presence of another to process. I provide warm, relational, supportive client centered therapy and am experienced with anxiety, depression and complex trauma. I have worked with people from diverse ethnic and socio economic backgrounds and integrate an understanding of cultural factors and intergenerational trauma in our work.
My approach is positive in that I help to include a focus on the client's innate healing drive, while integrating practices of AEDP, neurobiology, CBT and mindfulness. I support healing of attachment issues and creation of my client's new sense of self. I teach practical anxiety management skills, mindfulness, healthy communication skills and boundaries.
I appreciate the strength of character it takes to seek help and the willingness to sometimes process painful emotions and trauma in order to heal. I believe every person has the capacity and inner drive to become more fully who they truly are and to more fully express their essence in their life. I am here to support your healing process of growth.
