Feeling stressed and frustrated with your child? Not sure how to help them or understand their behavior. I work collaboratively with you to understand your child and develop a healthier relationship and family life. Are you having big reactions, feeling stressed frequently, or have experienced trauma. I also specialize in helping adults navigate life's challenges. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, certified in EMDR, Safe and Sound Protocol, and a Registered Play Therapist, I use a range of approaches, including Play/Sand Therapy, EMDR, SSP, ego states/parts work, and parenting support/education.
For children and adolescents, the approach of play is less intimidating than talk and speaks to their language. Play therapy is a method of meeting and responding to the mental health needs of children and is extensively acknowledged by experts as an effective and suitable intervention in dealing with children’s brain development. Plus it's fun!
I have experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, dissociation, grief, behavioral issues and more. I also have studied brain research, attachment, and mindfulness and utilize this lens to understand behavior. I am constantly researching new methods and would love the opportunity to work with you and your family!
