I am passionate about helping adults connect with their authentic self and form more consistent, secure, and healthy relationships. People often come to me when they experience symptoms of anxiety or depression, secondary to some form of relational trauma. Sometimes relational trauma may involve abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Other times, relational trauma can be more subtle, such as a series of misattunements from a partially absent caregiver, like a parent who drank too much or spent most of their time working. By healing relational wounds in therapy, you are making a long-term investment in deep, meaningful, growth.
I specialize in attachment theory and I utilize the clinical relationship to help my clients heal attachment wounds and past trauma. I also am trained in EMDR therapy, which is an evidenced-based modality that can help you re-process and heal from the lingering effects of trauma.
I know therapy can feel scary, I get it. We will go at your own pace. My goal is to teach you the tools so you eventually won't need therapy. This can take time, but it is well worth the investment in yourself. It's important to me to make sure that we are a good fit for each other.
