Humans have the uncanny ability to tell ourselves stories that make us feel bad, stuck and unable to move forward. Somehow, it's easier for us to believe the worst version of what could be true than it is to see possibilities. In an attempt to belong, we may find ourselves shape-shifting to accommodate others- believing that someone other than who we are is the only way we can fit in. Over time, this can leave us with little certainty or confidence in our true, authentic voice.
As your therapist, I am here to walk alongside you and help you to uncover the inner strengths and resources that are already within you. Together, we will identify the origins of the beliefs and stories that tied us up in knots in the first place, and then we will unravel them together.
Therapy with me is warm, creative and safe. I'm sensitive to diverse learning styles, and my background in visual art allows me to get across abstract concepts in tangible ways. This might look like drawing our discussions visually on a board, using art therapy, experiential interventions, reading recommendations or talk therapy.
