Trauma does not have to be the end of your story. My passion lies in work with those who have been in EMDR therapy/ therapy for years, and still struggle immensely. They know that trauma is at the core, listen to the podcasts, understand the difficulty in their family growing up, but as adults still feel like a shell of a human and like they just keep surviving. They go to session after session and more and more awful memories keep coming up. They feel like work is the only good part of their life. Their life outside of session keeps getting further and further away from the adventurous, creative, spiritual, full life they long for.
When the trauma occurs in childhood or relates to family dynamics, having a gentle, holistic trauma approach is imperative.
