Therapy can feel intimidating, especially in the beginning. I believe it's vital to build a collaborative and authentic relationship with all of my clients. In treatment, I primarily utilize a Gestalt theoretical perspective, which focuses on increasing clients’ awareness and self-understanding, so they are better able to navigate life’s difficulties in ways that feel genuine to them. I also enjoy integrating mindfulness techniques into work with clients of all ages. My specialties include anxiety, trauma, relational and attachment concerns, and parenting.
I am formally trained in play therapy for children 4-12 years old. This form of treatment focuses on using a child's natural way of processing and learning about their world - play - to build self-esteem and emotional-regulation.
