Tantrums, timeouts, tears—repeat. Those big feelings come out in unexpected, unhealthy ways or are trapped below, so deeply, it begins to eat away at their self confidence. It is painful to watch as their behavior and mood worsen, and that child gets harder and harder to parent. They're trying to be strong, but are carrying a weight too heavy for their little shoulders. You have to be so strong but you are losing connection with yourself in the process. If any of this resonates with you, we may be a good fit. I'm passionate about working with children ages 2 and up, adolescents, adults, and young parents.
Together we will explore the brain/ body connection, ways of connecting with yourself and others, self/ co-regulation, and empowering you with the wisdom and tools already within you! I primarily use play therapy, trauma informed, mindfulness, and experiential approaches. I emphasize the power and importance of play at a neurobiolocial level for kids.
