I use an integrated approach to create a team with my client to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms. I help my clients assess the psychological, social factors that may be contributing to the problem presented. As a team, my clients and I work towards identifying the changes that they feel are needed to make to improve their life or situation. I also encourage family involvement in treatment to ensure that everyone has an understanding of what is going on with the situation and to provide support. I find most cases brief therapy is able to help people deal effectively with difficult situations.
My experience includes working with adults and adolescents. I have worked with depression, PTSD, anxiety anger and substance abuse. I have experience working with trauma, life transitions and relationship difficulties. My overall goal is to help individuals, couples and families to have a healthier and more productive life.
