In many years of working in the field of mental health, I have found that pain and suffering are reduced, relationships are strengthened and functioning is improved through the interactive processes of psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. While I take this work seriously, I leave plenty of room for humor and lightness.
My professional experiences have privileged me to work intensively with people addressing diverse issues, including depression/anxiety; bereavement/loss; childhood/adult onset trauma from abuse, war, disasters; severe/chronic illnesses including cancer, HIV/AIDS; medical problems including obesity/bariatric procedures, infertility/ART; LGBT issues; and cultural/ethnic/religious concerns.
