Our pain is often the beginning of our greatest awakenings. If you are struggling with low self-esteem, anxiety, stagnancy, or general unhappiness in your life and work, chances are, your symptoms have an important message to deliver. Perhaps your discomfort has shown up to point you toward unresolved grief or trauma. It may also be a sign that old ways of being are no longer working. In adulthood, and particularly in mid-life, the strategies we adopted as children to get love and protect ourselves can act like roadblocks to the deep connection we crave with ourselves and others.
Whether it’s a harsh inner critic, perfectionism, people-pleasing, insecurity or avoidance in your relationships, I will work with you to uncover patterns, investigate their roots, and tend to the complex feelings that lie underneath. We will also cultivate self-compassion, mindfulness, and embodiment to help you more skillfully navigate life's challenges.
I enjoy working with people who may be at a crossroads, and desire greater ease, presence, and purpose in their lives and careers. My training and approach are rooted in psychodynamic theory, EMDR, and the latest understanding of trauma. I also integrate IFS informed and somatic modalities, Gestalt, and Buddhist mindfulness.
