I help people who want to feel more calm within themselves and connection to those they love. I specialize in working with military veterans and adults who grew up in dysfunction and chronic stress. Life is meant to be enjoyed, not just endured - but that is difficult to do when you feel anxious or depressed most of the time. Therapy with me is about giving compassionate attention to yourself and to your relationships. The goal is to create a felt sense of safety and security within those connections so you can adjust from simply enduring life to more fully enjoying life.
I am married to a combat veteran and am the mother of 6 children. I have moved 30 times all over the United States and have counseling experience within the US Army's FRG, church communities around the country, Huntsville Professional Counseling, Solid Ground Counseling Center and The Link of Cullman County.
