The people I work with seek therapy for all the emotional turmoil life throws at you: pressures to perform, anxiety, marriage and premarital distress, trouble sleeping and changes in mood. Others I see come to therapy with a broader wish to understand their own nature, to see themselves and timeworn habits more clearly. In each case, my goal is not to simply fix problems in your life or marriage, but rather to help you gain control when it seems like the world around you is spinning. For couples, my goal is to move your relationship from distress to security, understanding and mutual trust.
My approach to therapy integrates modalities, including Emotionally Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I focus a great deal on the therapeutic relationship, because research demonstrates that the relationship between client(s) and therapist is the most powerful determinant of change.
I serve clients who are located in New York City, Greenwich, Stamford, Darien, and Rhode Island State. I offer in person and virtual therapy, and my physical office spaces are located in New York City and Greenwich.
