I have worked with a variety of patient populations, including families, adolescents, young adults, and mid-life/older adults, dealing with various mental health concerns, but largely specializing in anxiety and mood disorders. I have extensive experience treating young adults, especially, having done clinical work in four different colleges in the Philadelphia area. I have also facilitated many young adult therapy groups over the years. Fundamentally, I believe that if people are able to learn to accept and like themselves and be less self-critical, many of their struggles with anxiety and depression will diminish significantly.
I am a Licensed Psychologist and have been practicing as a therapist for close to 25 years. I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Chestnut Hill College and a Master's Degree in Clinical-Counseling Psychology from La Salle University. My treatment approach is based largely on Cognitive-Behavioral, Relational, and Family Systems therapies.
