I help individual men grow their mental and relational health and couples interested in increasing emotional connections. I have experienced many of the issues my clients struggle with, including marital crisis, the loss of a child and professional disappointments. I provide pre-marital counseling, support for parents, leaders and have helped people face addictions, recover from abuse and betrayal and explore spiritual growth from a Christian perspective.
I understand relationships from an attachment perspective, that we are hard-wired for connection with those we love. I promote honesty, self-awareness and personal responsibility as key to emotional, relational and spiritual growth. I believe in connectedness between life experiences and events and in God's power to heal hearts and relationships.
I am a therapist with a pastor's heart and experience and a pastor with a therapist's training. I've had the privilege of being married to my wife for over 40 years partnering to raise a daughter and son. I have experienced healing through spiritual community, therapy, mentoring, and spiritual practices.
