Each of us has our own inner wisdom, and my role is to help you listen to that— rather than the messages you may have gotten from unhealthy people or situations in your past. I value building a genuine connection and creating a comfortable space for us to do this vulnerable, but important work together. I use EMDR and other trauma-informed therapies when needed. I also enjoy helping with anxiety, ADHD, Autism, relationship issues, and stress (which builds up in the body and wreaks havoc over time).
Many of my clients are stuck in a rut with their relationships, mariage, online-dating, or "situationships." I love Attachment Theory, which breaks down people's relationship styles into Avoidant, Anxious, or Secure. Understanding your "style" helps bring awareness to repeated patterns that might be working against you. Read "Attached" for more information.
I also enjoy exploring diagnosed- or suspected- neurodivergence, such as ADHD, Autism, Sensory Processing d/o, giftedness, etc. We are all so complex, and while these labels can't define anybody, it's helpful to understand how we each uniquely navigate the world, especially when it feels like the world is not working with us.
