George Eliot said "the strongest principle of growth lies in the human choice." This could not be more true. We make choices every day: get up or snooze, jeans or dress pants, say "hello" or "good morning," one more episode or go to bed, and the list goes on. However, certain choices have a greater impact on our lives than others. At the top of the list is self-care. This can be extremely difficult at times. Sometimes it feels like life has thrown everything (and the kitchen sink at us), and it's too much to sort through on our own. My goal is to help you and your loved ones get back on your feet...and stay there.
My specialties are in the care and treatment of individuals struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, and mood disorders. Although I work with clients of all ages, I specialize in treating kids and teens with anxiety, picky eating, food fears, anorexia, bulimia, and overeating. I also frequently work with clients who have trouble regulating their emotions.
By the way, George Eliot also said "what we call our despair is often only the painful eagerness of unfed hope." Quite an insightful individual. Perhaps she was a therapist at heart.
