Psychotherapy starts with exploring you, your thoughts, and your life so that we can begin to understood what you need to develop new capacities to deal with the problems you’re facing in the world and in your self. As we start to talk, we will collaborate on a plan for how best to help you, tailored to your specific situation.

I practice psychodynamically, which mostly means that therapy is about listening to you and exploring with you in order to help you develop new ways of thinking, feeling, and relating. This form of therapy can help people with a wide variety of psychological problems, including depression, anxiety, trauma, personality issues and relationship difficulties.

My therapeutic work draws on a decade of experience and my training at The San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis, The Wright Institute, Marina Counseling, The Pacific Center, and my background as a philosophy PhD and educator. I have experience treating people from various socioeconomic, cultural, and racial backgrounds, and from across the LGBTQ spectrum
