Welcome! I'm Kim, and I have a relationally based practice in south-central Austin. My supportive, humorous, and nurturing approach helps support topics of body autonomy, disordered eating, relational challenges, and anxiety. The intention is to increase trust within yourself to handle current and future challenges. Knowing where and how to start can feel challenging, especially if your thoughts are saying one thing while your nervous system and actions are saying another. We will work with sensations and impulses in your body and address the thoughts and ideas accompanying them.
Over the last 15 years, my specialties have focused on body autonomy, working with emotions that feel stuck or shut down, disordered eating, and animal-assisted therapy. The ultimate goal is to cultivate a lifestyle that allows for a compassionate relationship with yourself and your emotions.
In my practice, we will use talk therapy, movement, connection with animals, and out-of-office adventures (walking and talking, doctor visits, shopping for clothing/food) to encourage balance and flexibility.
