Mental illness has this insidious way of impairing our ability to connect and leading us to believe that in the midst of confusion and difficulty, no one will be there with us, that we must suffer alone. But, that’s just not true. I know it's risky to let someone to see you in a place of weakness, but inviting a safe person into your life can be so freeing!
