I’m Keil Davis, a licensed professional counselor with 10 years of experience who works with people 13 years of age and up, who are confused about life and have become angry, stressed, distant, anxious, unmotivated, isolated, depressed, and/or suicidal. I help people explore and understand the very things that confuse them, whether it is managing emotions, family dynamics, communication, organization, self-esteem, experiencing grief, navigating social dynamics with healthy boundaries, coping skills, how to make sense of thoughts and feelings, or how to build resilience.
A lot of our sessions will focus on your relationship with your thoughts and emotions. I subscribe to the idea that we are not our thoughts but rather the observer of our thoughts. Separating ourselves from our thoughts in order to manage emotion better can be difficult but is possible through mindfulness and learning and practicing coping skills.
