For others, therapy is preventive and helps manage the stress of everyday life. I believe that therapy is always beneficial, regardless of the reason or timing. My approach to mental health incorporates full mind-body wellness. My style of therapy is client-focused, collaborative, and insight oriented. You are the expert in your life and we will work together to learn and problem solve, in a supportive environment that encourages positive changes to enhance your life and overall well-being.
For over 15 years, I have worked in a variety of clinical settings. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. I am certified in Part I & II EMDR. I am trained in DBT and integrate mindfulness in all my work. I also integrate best practices for sleep and diet/nutrition, as these are integral to mental health.
It's important there's a good fit between client and therapist, therefore I offer a free consultation to ensure that my personal style and expertise best matches your style and needs. I also believe humor is essential in life and therapy, and I mindfully balance empathy and compassion with laughter.
