Codependence is a disconnection from yourself rooted in developmental trauma that impacts our self-esteem, ability to set boundaries, know our wants and needs, and find balance. We tend to give away pieces of ourselves to hold onto others. Working with a therapist who understands relational trauma and how that shows up in adulthood can help you understand and break painful patterns that aren't working anymore.
I specialize in treating Codependence, Developmental Trauma, Substance Abuse and working with partners of those affected by Substance and Sex Addiction. I am trained in Pia Mellody's Post Induction Therapy (PIT), EMDR, and draw from my experience working as a trauma and addiction therapist in private practice and intensive outpatient settings.
