Do you have a child, pre-teen or adolescent or do you yourself deal with with issues of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, or trauma? You’ve come to the right place! I work with ages 3-30! I help my clients by first creating a safe and trusting environment because therapy can be scary sometimes! Things we may work on initially are becoming aware of symptoms related to the experienced problem, understanding the implications of the stressor(s), developing and utilizing coping skills, and understanding connections between thoughts and behaviors using CBT modality.
I like to help the client reach a specific answer to their problem or situation by guiding them through specific techniques using evidence-based therapies. My modalities include but are not limited to child-centered play techniques, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic and psychanalytic, and Solutions Focused Therapy (SFT).
Your experience and current stressors are valid and being nervous about beginning therapy for the first time or seeing a new therapist can be scary! I am here to normalize that experience for you and help you work through any anxiety you may be experiencing. I hope to help you reach your goals in whatever way I'm able.
